Hopefully, you enjoyed the long weekend with your child(ren) last week. We will not have a break for students again for a bit. Please check our web page for calendar dates. If you are feeling like I am, there seems to be too much to do and not enough time! With only 24 hours in a day, there are times that it seems that is just not enough time.
I want to take this opportunity to thank our parents for partnering with us and being present at our Parent workshop session on Wednesday with Ms. McCray, our Social Worker and those of you who were also on hand or back again for our Books for Breakfast with our Parent Educator, Ms. Seymore. We hope you gained some insightful information!!!
Report cards will be coming home on Tuesday, January 24th. As we enter the 3rd 9 weeks and the 2nd semester of the school year, it may also be a good time to set some expectations for finishing out the year. We have much work to do and want to see some gains for our “courageous cougars.”
A reminder that we invite you to join us on next Friday beginning at 8:30am for our 2nd nine weeks’ school wide assembly. We will be displaying our lost and found items next week before we donate them, so please have your child look for items they may have lost or misplaced so far this school year.
Tutoring has begun during the school day and we will soon begin afterschool tutoring for students needing additional assistance here at school, thanks to Title One funding. Those letters will be going home soon. Please return these in a timely manner, as tutoring will begin the beginning of February.
PTO has extended our Donut sale until Monday. Funds and orders are due. Our goal is 600 boxes. If orders do not exceed a minimum of 300 boxes, this fundraiser effort will be cancelled.
Lastly, don’t forget our Fitness Bowl scheduled for tomorrow at Eau Claire High School. We hope to see you there. Events begin at 9:00am.
Please come in to volunteer whenever you can, we’d love to have you. You are always welcome!
