• What is IB?

     

    The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program is an internationally recognized program of studies offered to highly motivated 11th and 12th grade students. This program provides the academic rigor, structure, and experiences for students looking for the highest degree of academic challenge. IB students are challenged to use their education to "create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect." (IB Mission Statement)

     

    The IB Career Program is a two-year program of studies across disciplines with multiple components. After completed the required two IB classes, taking the IB exams, and completing a two year career study, students will receive an IB Career Diploma in addition to their South Carolina high school diploma.

  • To be awarded the IB Career Diploma students must:

    • Completed at least 2 IBDP courses in different subject groups
    • Complete assessments and external examinations in each group
    • Participate in the Personal and Professional Skills, Reflective Project, Service Learning and Language Development
    • Complete a career study of at least two years.

    IBCP Requires: 2 IBDP courses any course in any group qualifies additionally, students must be in career program extending over 11th and 12th grade year, i.e. Health Science, PLTW, Culinary Arts, Cosmetology, or JROTC.
