Congratulations to Colonel Gatson, Command Sergeant Major Thompson and the entire JROTC Unit on being awarded the District One Superintendent’s Trophy for the 2016-2017 school year. The trophy is awarded to the District Unit that best displays sustained superior performance in the following five areas:

  • Uniform Wear
  • Competitive Drill
  • Community Service
  • Physical Training
  • Cadet Knowledge

This recognition is based on an entire year’s performance which speaks highly of our Unit Command and student leadership.

Speaking personally, I appreciate the Unit’s willingness to step up and meet school needs often on short notice with professionalism and a smile. Many of our faculty are unaware of the hours and hours of community service that JROTC offers in our community. I frequently receive letters commending their service, performance and the high standards to which the students conduct themselves. All of us at Flora can take pride in knowing that the Flora JROTC Unit represents our school in a superior fashion.

GO FALCON CADETS!
